How much does it cost to compete in the Plane Pull?
Teams must raise a minimum of $1,200 to compete on the day of the event.
There is a $125 deposit to start a team. After that, it is $25 for each person to join the team. Registration fees count towards the team’s total raised. Teams who raise more than the minimum will receive extra commemorative items, deadlines apply.
How many people can be on a team?
Each team is limited to 20 participants.
Do I have to be on a team?
Yes! Don’t have a team? No problem! For $75, you can register as a standby and be placed on a team!
Are spectators free?
Yes! Bring family and friends to cheer you on. Everyone also gets to enjoy Newark Liberty International Airport’s Airport Family Day, which is held next to the Plane Pull competition.
What is Airport Family Day?
Port Authority, United Airlines, and many other airport vendors have interactive displays that provide information about what they do and how they get it done! Aircraft and Airport Emergency vehicles are open to explore. There will also be Free Food, Family Activities, Music, and plenty of giveaways!
Where do we park?
- Park at Airport Daily Parking Garage Area P4.
- Take elevator to Level 1, then take the walkway towards the Air Bus Station, look for Airport Day or Plane Pull signs along the way.
- Airport Shuttle buses designated for this event will be parked at the front-left of the Airbus Station. Shuttle will run to and from the event 6 am – 4 pm.
- Parking at the Airport is Free IF you take your ticket to the Port Authority Booth in the Vendor
display area. Be sure to get it validated as soon as you arrive. - HANDICAPPED INDIVIDUALS AND TEAMS ARRIVING IN A BUS/VAN: May be dropped off
